A custom renovation that began with a dark, dated look and originally began as a simple facelift of paint, lighting, and furniture quickly grew into a larger remodel by BUILD Carolina and Allard + Roberts Interior Design. A complete transformation was done to the kitchen with painted cabinetry, new countertops, a plaster hood, herringbone backsplash tiles, and crushed fused glass lighting. The den was opened with the addition of a new window allowing views of the outdoor landscape and bringing in the natural light. The fireplace in the den and living room were updated with large format tiles and a concrete hearth and mantle. This lighter, brighter transitional renovation created the perfect backdrop for the homeowner’s artwork.
