LEADERSHIP

Bill Gaston

Principal/Founder

Over the past 20 years in the construction industry, William has managed over $100M of projects, from inception through warranty, for a wide variety of project types to include: clubhouse facilities, banks, office buildings, retail, fire stations, medical facilities, apartment buildings, assisted living facilities, condominiums, luxury homes, and industrial distribution facilities. William has held a state certified building license since 2002 and co-founded BUILD in 2006. He holds a degree from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction, the oldest, most prestigious construction school in the country.

Jay Howard

Principal/Founder

Jay has been successfully managing construction projects for more than 20 years. Jay’s extensive industry experience includes: exquisitely designed cutting edge office spaces, wet labs, clean rooms, material testing facilities, video production studios, custom and chain restaurants, retail and high net worth investment banks, office buildings, churches, art galleries, retail stores, government buildings, medical/dental offices, new and renovated clubhouses, high-rise hotels, 25MW tracker style solar power plants, condominiums, and bespoke homes. Jay co-founded BUILD with Bill Gaston in 2006. Jay holds a degree, with honors, from the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction, the oldest, most prestigious construction management school in the country. Jay currently leads BUILD Carolina headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. 

AJ Bremerman

Vice President

AJ monitors project performance to ensure all components are delivered according to the client’s expectations. He takes a leadership role in managing the client relationship together with the project resources. He oversees the GMP budgets, project operations, scheduling and financial reviews, and offers guidance throughout the entire construction process. The success AJ consistently attains in maintaining subcontractor resources, monitoring productivity, and overseeing safety and quality make him an incredibly valuable team member.

Brian Mayotte

Vice President

Brian joined the BUILD family in the spring of 2016 bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He has been involved on both the commercial and residential sides of contracting with a background in retail, clubhouse, luxury single family custom homes, and multi-family home projects. His responsibilities as Vice President include owner relations, contracts, budget control, value engineering, and overseeing the project teams during pre-construction through post-construction. Brian’s hands on experience along with his degree in construction management bring a complete understanding of construction to the BUILD team. 

Norm Gentry

Vice President

Norm has over twenty-eight years of experience in the construction industry. Over the years, Norm has managed over 500 million dollars of commercial construction projects from inception through warranty for a wide variety of project types including clubhouse facilities, condominiums, independent living, office buildings, retail stores, fire stations, medical facilities, apartment buildings, and industrial distribution facilities. Norm has held a state certified General Contractor license since 2010 and is also a graduate of the University of Florida. As a Vice-President/Project Manager, Norm provides team leadership throughout the pre-construction and construction phases. He takes a leadership role in managing the client relationship and project resources. 

Chris Farr

Project Manager

With experience as a field manager before becoming a Project Manager/Estimator, Chris understands all facets of the construction process. Chris manages all aspects associated with the project, monitoring from start to completion and overseeing the budgeting, project operations, financial reviews, and scheduling. He has a proven record of achieving goals and leading others to achieve success beyond expectations with experience in both the commercial and residential industry.

Gary Smith

Project Manager

Gary has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry in both luxury residential and commercial projects. This vast experience allows for him to be versatile while providing excellent customer service to his clientele. As an Estimator/Project Manager, Gary monitors the project from start to completion where he will oversee the budget, project operations, financial reviews, schedules, as well as provide guidance and leadership for the client.  With previous experience as an on-site supervisor he has hands on involvement overseeing the intricacies of making a project successfully transition from the ground up. His approach ensures productivity, accountability among subcontractors, and ultimately customer service. 

Nick Walker

Project Manager

Nick has experience estimating and managing a diverse set of commercial and residential construction as well as fiber optic projects. Nick monitors project performance to ensure that the construction process and the product exceed client expectations. He holds a master’s degree in construction and facilities management from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. His coordination of problem-solving efforts is unmatched!

Rob Zella

Project Manager

Rob has over seventeen years of experience in luxury residential construction. He has worked with a broad range of styles that include green building, modern and contemporary design. Rob understands all components of the construction business and always provides superior service to all associated with his projects. Rob monitors the project from start to full completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are met. He will oversee the budgeting, project operations, financial reviews, schedule, and offer guidance and leadership for the client for the duration of construction. 

Jack Dillon

Project Manager

As an experienced construction manager and project director, Jack has had the pleasure of managing projects that range from $500k to over $100M. Jack provides extensive experience with green building and LEED projects. He was also given the opportunity to study this practice in Europe. Jack will address cost/benefit exercises regarding green construction if requested.

Steven Jackson

Project Manager

Steven has been in the construction industry since 1997 and has managed a variety of commercial projects throughout the United States. Steve’s roles and responsibilities have included project management, construction manager, and estimator for private as well as government/military construction projects.

Reade Moorman

Project Manager

Reade has over ten years of experience estimating and managing luxury renovation and custom home projects.  He possesses a strong working knowledge of construction, engineering, architectural, and design principles and practices.

Paul Leonard

Project Manager

As an Estimator/Project Manager, Paul monitors the project from start to completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are exceeded.  Paul Leonard has been in the construction industry since 1987 and has managed a variety of commercial and residential projects throughout the United States. With thirty years of experience in multi-family and private custom homes; twenty years in commercial, restaurant, and retail; fifteen years in mass transit, railroad, schools, and county parks; and fifteen years in local, city, county, federal government, and military experience.

Kevin Curtiss

Project Manager

Kevin has years of experience in the construction industry in both luxury residential and commercial projects.  As an Estimator/Project Manager, Kevin monitors the project from start to completion where he will oversee the budget, project operations, financial reviews, schedules, as well as provide guidance and leadership for the client.  

Scott Bedri

Assistant Project Manager

Scott is experienced in both design and construction execution. With a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering, he is well versed in AutoCAD where his abilities include drawing, editing, and scaling blueprints. He is also experienced in multi-million dollar projects that include all aspects of the construction process.

Chris Douglas

Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Estimator/Project Manager, Chris monitors the project from start to completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are fulfilled. Chris assists with all project management functions including budgeting, project operations, scheduling, and resource management. Chris also provides guidance to the client throughout the duration of the construction process.

Philip Ciancimino

Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Estimator/Project Manager, Philip monitors the project from start to completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are fulfilled. Philip assists with all project management functions including budgeting, project operations, scheduling, and resource management. Philip also provides guidance to the client throughout the duration of the construction process.

Finlay White

Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Estimator/Project Manager, Finlay monitors the project from start to completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are fulfilled. Finlay assists with all project management functions including budgeting, project operations, scheduling, and resource management. Finlay also provides guidance to the client throughout the duration of the construction process.

Kaue Barone

Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Estimator/Project Manager, Barone monitors the project from start to completion ensuring that the client’s expectations are fulfilled. Barone assists with all project management functions including budgeting, project operations, scheduling, and resource management. Barone also provides guidance to the client throughout the duration of the construction process.
